King's Daughters Health Foundation is very happy to again consider AED applications for 2026. AEDs will be awarded to those with the biggest need in our communities. Priorities include:
  • First responders, especially in rural areas
  • 24/7 organizations
  • Organizations without an AED
  • Organizations who have a responsible plan for care, storage, testing and maintenance of the AED
  • Organizations in the following counties:
    • In Kentucky: Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Floyd, Greenup, Johnson, Lawrence, Lewis, Martin
    • In Ohio: Lawrence, Scioto

Please note if awarded an AED, a signed agreement is required attesting to training and maintenance. Being awarded an AED also means accepting continuing responsibility for providing appropriately trained personnel, monthly maintenance, and for purchase of AED pads and batteries, and other consumable supplies as required by the manufacturer.

Please take your time completing this application as it will help us assess those with the greatest need. For questions, please contact Scott Hill at scott.hill@kdmc.kdhs.us or by phone at (606) 408-0455.

Applications must be received by the end of the day, Friday, Jan. 30.
