SURVEY ON FUTURE PLANS FOR THORNDALE LIONS COMMUNITY CENTRE AND THORNDALE COMMUNITY PARK

In November of 2024, Thames Centre Council established the Thorndale Lions Community Centre Ad Hoc Committee. The Committee was established to develop a shovel ready project for the potential future expansion of the Thorndale Lions Community Centre, using the surplus of funds raised by the community for use on the Centre. The purpose of this Committee was later expanded to also include identifying improvements/renovations that can be made to the existing community centre for immediate results along with developing a comprehensive design for Thorndale Community Park.

Starting with their own ideas and recommendations, this Committee invited 16 local stakeholder groups to a roundtable meeting in December to share their ideas and to get input on these initiatives from the various stakeholder groups. This survey (along with an Open House on Wednesday February 25th, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Thorndale Lions Community Centre, in Meeting Room #3) are the final two opportunities to have your ideas heard and considered before recommendations are taken to Council to finalize how we will proceed. Besides an online version of the survey hard copies are available at the Thorndale Public Library and at the Thorndale Lions Community Centre. Surveys must be completed/submitted by Monday, March 2nd.
