The purpose of this consultation is to seek your expertise and experience around the key roles played by peers and community health workers in the testing processes for sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBI) as well as what supports this work. We hope these consultations will lead to the development of a guiding framework to be shared back to community as well as provincial STBBI testing practice leads and decision-makers.
This survey is for persons with experience providing or supporting others in STBBI testing/linkage to care, those who are interested in becoming involved in that work, and/or persons with experience seeking or performing STBBI testing themselves.
The project “Developing Guidance for Supporting Community-Based STBBI Testing in BC” is funded by UBC CUES, in partnership with Dr. Mark Gilbert, BCCDC.
Peers and people with lived or living experience (PWLLE) will be given honoraria (based on $30 per hour), if not on paid release time from their employer. We are allowing for 90mins to thoughtfully complete this survey (total $45).
All expertise/experience shared will be anonymized for the final framework.
