Thank you for working together with us to develop Te Mātaiaho, the refreshed the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC). You can access an electronic copy of Te Mātaiaho | the draft curriculum framework at .

The survey has been designed as a group exercise and the discussion will take about 1 hour. We also welcome individual responses where group work is not possible. We recommend having Te Mātaiaho open in front of you as you progress through the survey.

At the end of last year, we sought feedback on an incomplete draft of the framework for Te Mātaiaho. We have updated this framework based on what we heard and now we would like your feedback on the latest version.

This survey will ask for specific feedback on three components:

·         Mātairea | Supporting progress

·         Mātaioho | School curriculum design and review

·         Mātaiahikā | Connecting to place and community

The survey will also ask for feedback on:

·         The draft framework as a whole.

·         How ready your school feels to start responding to Te Mātaiaho, and the usefulness of available supports and resources.

Some questions in this survey do request demographic information, however responses to these questions are optional. The survey is anonymous and we do not need to collect any information in this survey which might identify you. However, if any information associated with an individual person is provided, it will be treated in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Ministry’s general privacy statement on its website.

For schools, we do ask that you provide your school's name for the purpose of demographic reporting. No individuals or schools will be named or identified in any reports written from this feedback process. Massey University will be analysing the feedback and writing a report for the Ministry of Education. Anonymised submissions will be subject to release if they are requested under the Official Information Act
