Kingston District Council Disability Access and Inclusion Community Survey - December 2025 |
The Kingston District Council are creating a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP).
This Plan will contain actions for council to complete between 2026 and 2030.
The purpose of a DAIP, as per the State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025-2029, is to create fairer, more inclusive and accessible communities for everyone.
We would like to invite people who live, work and play in the Kingston District Council area to share their experiences and ideas on what would make their community more inclusive and accessible for people with disability.
A DAIP is an action plan for councils, so please focus on what sits within your council’s responsibility. Some examples of this include town planning, waste, local roads, local events and community services like the library.
The DAIP will cover the following main topics:
- Inclusive environments and communities
- Education and employment
- Personal and community support
- Health and wellbeing
- Safety, rights and justice
