2026 Ronald E. Harrison Diversity Award

The Ronald E. Harrison Diversity Award recognizes an organization or individual with a demonstrated, tangible commitment to increasing diversity in franchising and expanding opportunities for people from all walks of life. The honoree is a franchisor, franchisee, or supplier with active programs to educate, engage, or recruit members of traditionally underserved communities into the franchising community. Their work has served the betterment of the franchise business model and will continue to impact future generations.

Eligibility
This award is open to any organization and/or individual from an IFA member company whether franchisor, franchisee, or supplier.

Evaluation Criteria
The recipient must:
A. Be or have been actively involved in operating or supporting a franchise business (franchisor, franchisee, or supplier).
B. Be considered a leader in promoting a diverse franchise community and expanding opportunities for underserved populations.
C. Have created and/or implemented specific initiatives within their franchise company, or across the franchise community, that resulted in increasing opportunities for the success of underserved populations in franchising.
D. Have taken specific actions that demonstrate their passion and consistent commitment to expanding access to franchising for people from all walks of life.
E. Have demonstrated service or affinity to the IFA personally or through his/her member company within the past five years.
