CRNA Challenge Team Application

The AANA Education Committee invites Program Administrators to nominate residents to participate in the AANA College Bowl. This year’s competition will feature an exciting new Jeopardy®-style format, adding a dynamic twist to the event while maintaining the same familiar question categories used in previous years. A total of 36 residents will be selected to compete, representing programs from across the country. The updated format is designed to enhance engagement, teamwork, and friendly competition while continuing to test clinical knowledge and critical thinking. Program Administrators are encouraged to nominate outstanding residents for this unique educational experience.

All applications are due by April 1, 2026. Applying to participate does not guarantee placement on the team. Applicants will be contacted in May/June regarding their status on the team. Please contact education@aana.com with questions.

College Bowl 2026 will take place at the AANA Annual Congress in Boston, MA.
  • If selected for the team, you will be required to attend a virtual meeting in June or July to discuss the College Bowl rules and procedures and meet the College Bowl host.
  • If selected for the team, you will be required to attend a rehearsal onsite at Annual Congress. This will take place approximately 1 hour prior to the College Bowl.
  • If you are unable to participate in the College Bowl after being selected for the team, an alternate will serve as a replacement.
  • I understand that I cannot be part of the CRNA Challenge team if I am affiliated with any commercial Certification Exam review courses.
