As part of the Arkansas Water Plan update, Arkansas is developing its first state flood plan (AFP) to better prepare for and reduce the impacts of flooding on communities, infrastructure, agriculture, and the environment. This plan looks to address both major river flooding and local stormwater challenges, identify statewide risks, and outline practical strategies for resilience.
