The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is excited to begin planning improvements to Beltrami Park starting in 2026. The hopes is to start construction in the spring of 2027 and finish in the fall of 2027. This work will build on the park design created in 2019 as part of the East of the River Long Range Plan.
Community engagement this spring and summer will play a key role in shaping the next steps. Your input will help guide priorities, refine design concepts, and ensure that future improvements reflect the needs and ideas of the neighborhood.
We invite you to share your thoughts and help shape the future of Beltrami Park.

$1,280,890 is allocated for park and/or playground improvements.

We want to hear from you about what you want to see improved in the park!

This survey will be available through end of May 2026.

The vision plan updates include: updating and expanding the playgrounds, upgrading while adding additional bocce and basketball courts, adding more naturalized/landscape areas, increasing the plaza and seating near the rec center, renovating the existing ballfield to a multiuse field while removing the baseball infield, adding an off-leash dog park, and updating trails.

MPRB doesn't have enough funding to make all of these improvements right now, so we want to hear what you think we should prioritize first.
