The Shape Up San Francisco Coalition (Shape Up SF) formed in 2006 to address growing levels of preventable chronic disease, especially in San Francisco's low-income communities and communities of color.
Shape Up SF's mission is to advance health equity in San Francisco by collaborating with community partners on system changes that increase nutrition security and active living.
About the Consultancy: The Capacity Building Consultancy program is intended to provide consulting services to build capacity among small nonprofits addressing chronic disease disparities through healthy eating and active living. Capacity building typically supports infrastructure or administrative activities, rather than programming. Examples include accounting help, strategic planning, branding and communication, fundraising, staff development, etc. Selected organizations will be matched with an experienced consultant to support one or more identified capacity building needs.
