2024 Municipal Budget
Help guide the Township of Nipigon’s 2024 Municipal budget!
The Township of Nipigon is collecting input from the community before the annual budget planning process begins. The majority of our budget is allocated to our front-line services such as roads, parks, recreation, fire, development, and library services. The remaining budget funds are allocated to resources required to support these front-line services, as well as capital projects.
The approved 2023 annual budget for the Township of Nipigon was $ 5.3 M including $4.7 M for operating expenditures and $ 625,000 allocated to capital expenditures. The tax rate increase for 2023 was approved at approximately 2.9%.
What is the pre-budget survey?
The pre-budget survey is an opportunity for residents and business owners in the Township of Nipigon to share feedback and input when it comes to how tax dollars are spent in the year ahead.
What are the strategic priorities?
The process is underway to develop a five-year strategic plan that will establish our priorities, and guide the Municipality’s decision making over the next five years. In early winter 2024, the public and stakeholders will be invited to provide their input into the strategic plan.
