Only County Commissioners can nominate their colleagues. For all award nominations, please include length of service, any participation in local, state, or federal associations, and any participating in educational offerings by those associations.
Criteria for Specific Achievement Awards
Distinguished County Commissioner Award
- How has the nominee engaged in distinguished service resulting in significant, positive impact to their county?
- What Boards, Commissions, and Committees do they currently or have previously served on?
Legislative Service Award
- How has the nominee advocated for County issues to the Legislature including any contacts with legislators and committees?
- If the nominee testified before a committee, please list the issues to which they testified.
Outstanding Team Effort for a Board of Commissioners
- Describe a project that this Board of Commissioners has undertaken despite possible controversy.
- How did this Board of Commissioners accomplish this common cause?
- Was there cooperation, if needed, with other local governments/officials to accomplish this goal?
Outstanding Highway Supervisor or Engineer of the Year
- Describe a particular situation or project that makes this nominee "outstanding".
- Describe the nominee's leadership, style of management, and educational background.
- Explain this nominee’s ability to carry out projects and plans including interaction with the public.
Outstanding Auditor or Executive Assistant of the Year
