REQUIREMENT
You must have at least one current job opening, for which you are taking applications.
PUBLICITY
We will make every effort to publicize the event far & wide including promotions, NWSCC's & UNA's current and past students, partner organizations' clients, personal and professional networks, e-mail, websites, and all social media platforms.

The Florence MSA unemployment rate (those who are "actively" seeking employment) is a point higher than this time last year, hovering around 3.5% (July 2024). We believe a "one stop" Job Fair will draw the most possible Job Seekers, both unemployed and looking for a different position. That said, please know that 3.5% is very low. This is why everyone is having a hard time finding workers. We will also try to draw those currently considered "non-participants" into the workforce (able-bodied, of working-age, but not recently seeking employment for a variety of reasons). Adding those as active seekers can significantly increase the labor pool.

Please feel free to share this opportunity within your sphere of influence ... family, friends, church, community orgs, etc. in case they know of job seekers.

The Shoals Chamber's Workforce Initiatives includes a helpful website, Shoals Workforce Resources (www.shoalsworkforceresources.com) meant to be a clearinghouse for all types of workforce resources for Businesses, Job Seekers, Educators, Students, Parents and Community Orgs.

Included is a free Job Board, on which you may have your company logo (Chamber members) & a link (all employers) to your Careers / Job Openings web page, where Job Seekers may view job openings on an on-going basis.
