Application Information

The Office of the City Clerk is seeking expressions of interest from a public representative (or their caregiver) to serve on the Seniors Advisory Committee.

The deadline for submission of application is Sunday, September 20.


About the Committee

The Seniors Advisory Committee provides information and advice to Council on matters related to seniors that intersect City policies and programs. Items are referred to the Committee by other committees of council, or as initiated by the committee.

Eligibility


Public Members: The Committee will be comprised of no more than 5 residents who are at least 50 years of age or older, or their caregivers. Preference will be given to residents of St. John’s.

Selection Information
In addition to eligibility requirements, the specific skills and experiences of an applicant will be important factors in Committee selection. While all residents who meet the Eligibility Requirements are encouraged to apply, those who have demonstrated experience with groups or initiatives that have goals consistent with the Committee, as outlined in its Terms of Reference, will be given preference.
