We Value Your Input on the Future of Perryville High School

As we continue to plan for the rebuilding of Perryville High School, your feedback is essential. The decisions made in the coming months will shape our schools and our community for the next 50 years. The Perry County School District 32 Board of Education is carefully evaluating all available options, and your input will help guide these important discussions. We want to ensure that the choices we make reflect the values, priorities, and long-term vision of the families, staff, and community members we serve. Your perspective will play a vital role in helping us rebuild a high school that meets the needs of today’s students while preparing for the generations to come.

Current Building Concerns
• The PHS building, which was built in 1957, suffered significant structural damage in multiple areas.
• Students are in alternative spaces for the 2025-26 school year because a majority of the building is currently uninhabitable and will need extensive repairs to be ready to host classes again.
• The entire 200-300 wing is considered a loss and must be demolished and rebuilt.
