It's Back! The 8th Annual Sacramento National Dance Day (SNDD) returns Sunday, September 20, 10 - 12pm at the CA State Capitol-West Steps. This event is FREE and open to the public. National Dance Day is an annual celebration dedicated to dance, that encourages Americans of all ages to incorporate dance into their lives. By creating a focused day of celebration to show support for dance as a valuable form of exercise and make dance (in all its forms) accessible and inclusive to everyone "For the Love of Dance".
Applications are Open! We're looking for talented dance performers of all styles. Please complete the application and accompany it with a short performance video link so we can see your style and love of dance. All formats of dance are welcome, and we are excited to present a diverse selection of dance styles. We will be accepting applications until May 20, 2026.
*Spaces are limited: You will receive an email notification of your submission followed by additional details. The SNDD Committee will review all applications and keep you in the loop as selections are made to confirm details and next steps.
*SNDD Event Tee Purchase Requirement: As a requirement of performing at SNDD, at least 1 event tee purchase is required for each performance entry if accepted. All proceeds from this event will support and sustain this and future SNDD events. Tees will be available for purchase at a date in the near future (TBD) for performers and attendees of the SNDD event to commemorate this amazing day, all For the Love of Dance!
