To the residents and/or property owner(s) of Constance Bay,
Every summer, parking activity increases across Constance Bay. I have heard from many of you that this has made it more difficult to find parking on your street, has affected driveway access, restricted sightlines and contributed to traffic congestion in the community.
Continuing the discussion we started in 2025, my office is committed to providing this community with a potential parking management strategy that would address the seasonal parking challenges faced by many. Through this communication, delivered to all impacted properties in Constance Bay, we hope to accomplish:
· Gaining an understanding of a level of support
· Provide a plan, outlining all the impacts
· The projected path forward, including potential timelines
Proposed Parking Management Strategy
After significant consultation with Traffic Services, my office has devised the following proposal:
To ensure regular turnover of parking during the summer months, we are gauging interest in possibly implementing one of the following options, which includes a one-hour, community-wide parking restriction, specific to the May 1st to September 30th period, with a Guest Parking Permit zone.
