Introduction

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is updating its Official Plan. The Municipal Official Plan is a policy document that describes how land should be use in the Municipality. An Official Plan deals mainly with issues such as where specific development should be located, what services will be needed, when and how parts of the community will grow, and community improvements initiatives.

In Sioux Lookout, the Municipal Official Plan guides how our community grows, protects what matters, and plans for housing, services, transportation, jobs, waterfronts, and natural areas across Urban Sioux Lookout, Hudson, Drayton, rural areas, and shoreline communities.

Your input will help identify priorities for the next version of the Plan and ensure it reflects local needs, provincial planning requirements, and Sioux Lookout’s role as the Hub of the North.
