A Celebration of Indigenous Fashion, Regalia and Creative Expression
Ketchikan Indian Community invites Indigenous artist, makers, designers, culture bearers, and community members to participate in Rock Your Mocs: Culture in Motion, a celebration of the creativity, culture, identity, and artistry carried by our people.
You do not need to be a professional artist, designer, or model to participate.
PLEASE NOTE:
Participants ages 16 and older, of all experience levels are welcome to enter their showcase collections.
Pieces may be traditional, contemporary, or a combination of both.
Participants may submit an individual piece or up to 10 pieces.
Cultural protocols, ownership, and the appropriate use of clan, family, and traditional designs must be respected.
Participants will be asked to provide a short description or story about their piece. This information will be shared at the event.
Submission of this form does not guarantee participation. Selected participants will be contacted with additional information about the event and presentation schedule.
Thank you for your interest in showcasing your work for Ketchikan Indian Community's Rock Your Mocs Fashion show. The show will be held on Saturday, November 14th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will also be a rehearsal on Friday, November 13th at 3:00 p.m. If you have questions please reach out to Hilary Rifenburg at hilaryr@kictribe.org
