2026 NCAFP Research Poster Contest Submission Form

In order to participate in this contest you must be enrolled in a North Carolina family medicine residency program or one of the six medical schools in North Carolina.

You must also be a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) / North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians (NCAFP). Non-member submissions will not be considered. Join at www.aafp.org/join. Once you join the AAFP you automatically become a member of the NCAFP.

Please use this form to submit your research presentation information. Before beginning your submission, please be aware the following items are needed, you may wish to complete certain sections in a Word document, then copy/paste.
1) Additional Author information (names, credentials)
2) Title of Presentation
3) Poster Abstract (300 words or less-scroll down for more info)
4) Presentation Synopsis (scroll down for more info)
5) Description for Conference App (30-70 words)
6) Final PDF of the Poster must also be submitted to Perry Price by 11:59pm on September 27th, 2026 at perry@ncafp.com.

Each poster should be submitted only once, not by each member of the group, but please include all authors/credentials.

You can make changes to your poster entry through the stated deadline. Final poster received is what will be reviewed by the Research Poster Committee. Posters cannot be modified for judging or for the mobile conference app after 11:59pm 9/27/2026.

Upon submission, additional correspondence will follow from the Academy. Accepted posters will be displayed at NCAFP's Annual Winter Family Physicians Weekend at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville. Poster authors are responsible for printing and hanging their posters at the conference and will be provided with additional details. 13.Presentation Abstract (no more than 300 words)
A condensed overview that usually includes the purpose of the research study, the basic design of the study, the major findings, and a brief summary of your interpretations of the conclusions.

14.Presentation Synopsis
The gist of your planned research that gives a panoramic view of your research for quick analysis by the reviewers. This can be more open ended than your abstract, and can contain much more varied information that you feel relevant to your project.(Required.)
15.Description for Conference App
Please provide a 30-70 word description of your poster/presentation we can use on our mobile conference App for all conference attendees to access.(Required.)
16.Poster Submission
Please save and submit as "LastName-Title" ie "Price-ThisIsMyPosterTitle" (pleae do not include spaces)
