Music Data and Insights Summit 2026: Expression of Interest

The Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO) invites submissions of academic papers and presentation ideas for The Music Data and Insights Summit (MDIS) 2026.

MDIS explores current trends, research, and data shaping the Australian music industry, focusing on areas like streaming, live music, consumer behavior, and workforce skills to drive innovation and informed strategy.

Submissions must clearly indicate the alignment with current music industry issues, challenges and opportunities.

MDIS will be held at Collingwood Yards, Melbourne on May 18th and 19th 2026. More information about the MDIS 2025 can be found at vmdo.com.au

Submissions will be reviewed by the curatorial team and notified no later than February 2026. Invited presenters will be offered travel support and / or a minimum presentation fee of $250 per person.
