Introduction

City of York Council is co-producing our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) and Alternative Provision Strategy, and we want your views to help shape this.

We want to know your views on how effective we are as a SEND partnership at identifying and meeting the needs for our children and young people from 0-25, with SEND in York.

Our SEND partnership is made up of a range of services within Education, Health and Care, including our parent/carer forum, early years settings, schools, alternative provision and colleges.

Our Healthcare services can include seeing doctors, nurses and health therapy services such as speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and mental health services. This is not an exhaustive list.

Our Social Care services can include visits from a social worker, supported living services, at home care or adaptation and access to leisure activities or short breaks.

This survey will run from Monday 19th May to Friday 6th June 2025.
