Protected Bike Lane: N Sherman St – E 20th Ave to E Colfax Ave

The Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is working with communities to create complete transportation networks, by planning multimodal networks and rapidly building out high-comfort bicycle and pedestrian safety projects through this program.

The N Sherman St bikeway provides a key connection in the bicycle network from E Colfax Ave to E 20th Ave, connecting to the E 16th Ave, E 19th Ave, and 20th Ave bikeways. N Sherman St is proposed to become a protected bike lane. Protected bike lanes are dedicated bikeways on streets that have both a horizontal and vertical buffer between a person bicycling and a person driving a car.
