The BMA is seeking views from our members. Help your SAS committee shape the next steps in our campaign to improve pay and conditions in England, and understand what helped and what hindered voting in the recent SAS ballot.
Whether you voted or not, and whatever your reasons, your opinion is very important. This is your opportunity to tell us how you felt about the ballot, what we could have done differently, and what you want your SAS committee and our negotiators to focus on going forwards.

Please fill the survey if you are a BMA member based in England and either:
- you are a SAS doctor working for an NHS Employer,
- or you received any communications asking you to vote in the SAS ballot from the BMA or Civica Election Services.
We want to hear from you whether you are on open or closed grades, on older contracts, or are an LED (locally employed doctor). This includes if you are a Specialty Doctor, Specialist, Associate Specialist, Staff Grade, Trust Grade, Clinical Medical Officer, Senior Clinical Medical Officer, Clinical Fellow, Senior Clinical Fellow, Hospital Practitioner, Clinical Assistant, or Non-Standard Career Grade including Trust Doctor.
The survey will close at 23.59 on Monday 31 August.

This information is being collected to inform the BMA about SAS doctor views on the recent ballot. Some demographic information may also be collected for monitoring purposes. Any data supplied will be viewed by BMA staff and, where appropriate, elected members. This data may include incomplete responses where the respondent has exited the survey before the final submission page. Data will be retained by the BMA for a period not exceeding one year post the closure of the survey, before final deletion. Individually identifiable data will not be shared with third parties. Anonymised or statistical data may be used publicly or shared with third parties.
