APHA Disability Justice as a Health Equity Imperative Advisory Board

APHA is looking for people to join our Disability justice advisory board! We are looking for a diverse group of people with many different lived experiences who will guide APHA activities on our Disability justice projects. We hope that many of these people will have lived experiences with Disability as either Disabled people or their loved ones or caregivers.
Timeline (October 2025 –June 2026)
-Complete the interest survey by September 15th at 11:59pm ET
-The first advisory board meeting will be in October
-The advisory board term will end in June of 2026

APHA is looking for people who can actively contribute their time and ideas to our activities, we think that this will take about 3-5 hours a month on average over the next 8 months.

Compensation: Advisory board members will be paid $150 per meeting they participate in for up to $600, members will be paid after each meeting. Receiving this payment will require a w9 for the purposes of taxes. APHA is not currently able to donate any payments.
