Thomas D. Kinney Scholars 2026 Program 2026 PROGRAM INFORMATION The Society of '67 Kinney Scholars Program was named in 2021 to honor Dr. Thomas D. Kinney. Dr. Kinney was especially committed to education and training, one of the founders of the Association, and a legendary pathologist and mentor to many. THE SOCIETY OF '67 THOMAS D. KINNEY SCHOLARS PROGRAM provides an opportunity for medical students and/or pathology residents to familiarize themselves with career opportunities in pathology and the critical role of pathology in healthcare delivery, research, and education. Kinney Scholars in the program participate in the AAPath 2026 Annual Meeting at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, where they will gain insight from national leaders in academic pathology.THE 2026 SOCIETY OF '67 KINNEY SCHOLARS WILL: receive an immersive experience in the development of innovative approaches to medical education and academic pathology practice; learn about advocacy and outreach efforts for pathology and laboratory medicine stakeholders; and interact with the leaders of academic pathology, bringing a trainee's perspective to the Association. REQUIREMENTS OF KINNEY SCHOLARS: attend the AAPath 2026 Annual Meeting sessions; participate in designated Kinney Scholar activities, starting on Sunday, July 19, 2026; attend the Awards Lunch Program on Wednesday, July 22, 2026; be recognized as a Society of '67 Kinney Scholar throughout the program (in person, print, and photos); provide a post-conference brief report of their experiences; and comply with the AAPath Code of Conduct throughout the meeting.
