The Town of Rye would like to develop a comprehensive Municipal Facilities and Services Master Plan to guide decisions about municipal investments and service delivery over the next 10 to 20 years. The Town is currently developing the scope and estimated budget for this future planning effort, including identifying what should be evaluated and what professional expertise will be needed. This work will result in a recommended scope and funding request for consideration at Town Meeting 2027.
What are municipal facilities and services?
Municipal facilities and services include the buildings, properties, infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, staffing, and support the Town relies on to serve the community. Examples may include Town Hall and administrative offices; police, fire, and emergency facilities and services; public works facilities and operations; the library and recreation facilities; transfer station and solid waste services; municipal roads, drainage, and other infrastructure; and the vehicles and equipment needed to support these varied Town operations.
