The Old Colony Planning Council (OCPC) is conducting a study of the Route 53 corridor in the communities of Hanover, Pembroke, Duxbury, and Kingston.  The geographic scope extends from the Hanover/Norwell town line in the north to the intersection of Route 53 and Route 3A in Kingston in the south.  The purpose of this study is to develop short and long term actions that will enhance circulation and traffic flow efficiency, improve safety, and improve bicycle and pedestrian accommodation.  Existing and future traffic conditions will be evaluated and OCPC's congestion management process and safety management system will be utilized to help identify and develop potential short term and long term recommendations and projects.

This survey provides the opportunity for community input regarding mobility needs, quality-of-life, safety, and environmental issues.
