Morgan Hill Rotary Grant Application Deadline Oct. 31, 2026

Submission Requirements and Guidelines

All grant applications must meet the following requirements:

1. Your application should be clearly philanthropic in nature and all related expenditures must be solely for charitable purposes and clearly provide a benefit(s) to the Morgan Hill community geographically defined as within the boundaries of the Morgan Hill Unified School District.

2. All grant applicants must be able to provide evidence that donations made to the applicant are tax deductible to the donor in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS") Code possessing or operating under a current IRS Code §501(c) (3) designation or §170 (c) designations and all grant money must be used for charitable purposes in strict accordance with IRS Code and U.S. Treasury Regulations.


3. You agree to publicize and acknowledge the contribution in a way that promotes community awareness of the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill ("Club") and subsequently provide documentation to the Club of that promotion. This can be done through media releases, Letters to the Editor, placing the Rotary Club name or logo on printed materials, etc.


4. Grant funds awarded to a recipient are expected to be expended, and evidence provided to the Club by the recipient, during the period of January to December of the year following the grant submission.


5. Your application must be submitted electronically using this SurveyMonkey online application no later than October 31, 2026.



The following types of activities are not eligible for funding:

1. College Scholarships, Vocational Career Grants, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (“RYLA”) Grants or other forms of monetary benefit to a specific individual(s).

2. Activities that promote specific religious viewpoints or are for any political organization.

3. Fundraising, marketing and/or promotional activities for the benefit of the applicant. In addition, personnel and general operating cannot be funded under this grant.



Guidelines:

1. The Club desires to assist as many people as possible in the Morgan Hill community, and when possible, over an extended period.

2. Priority areas for funding are youth, seniors, and education and should align where possible with Rotary International (RI) Causes, Areas of Focus or Concerns as published on RI’s website, including but not limited, to supporting education, maternal and child health, protecting the environment, promoting conflict resolution, economic development.

3. Nothing in these guidelines should be construed as requiring the Club to fund any specific grant application in any given year or to partially of fully fund an application in a particular amount. The Club reserves the right to permanently or temporarily discontinue funding grants at any time with or without notice.

4. You may apply for multiple grants, but a separate grant for each grant application request is required. In order to submit additional applications using SurveyMonkey (the program we are using), you may need to clear your browser data of cookies so you can create an additional application. 5. Please save a copy of your application BEFORE submitting as the program will not provide one.
