Denecke Scholarship Application 2026 - 2027

The Denecke Family for Christian Education Fund was established to honor the legacy of Joanne Denecke Kerkhof and to financially support students who are planning to go into the Lutheran teaching ministry. Joanne, the matriarch of the family, was a Lutheran grade school teacher at Trinity Lutheran (Indianapolis) where all five of her sons graduated. When Lutheran High School was founded, her two youngest become students and members of the classes of 1980 and 1982. Additionally, her daughter-in-law and two grandsons are also Lutheran High School graduates. May God bless your educational pursuits as you create your own Christlike legacy!
The Denecke Scholarship is awarded to a Lutheran High School graduating senior or Lutheran High School graduate pursuing an education degree with a Lutheran Teacher's Diploma at a Concordia school with the intent to teach at a Lutheran elementary or secondary education institution.
