GRACE Survey for CC4GOD, GOD Int'l, the Institute, and the Academy

Dear Survey Respondent,

We are grateful for your willingness to participate in this important survey published by Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment (GRACE), a non-profit organization that specializes in abuse prevention and response in faith-based organizations. GRACE has been engaged by Church Community for God (CC4GOD), GOD International (GOD Int’l), the Institute for GOD (Institute), and the Academy for GOD (Academy), to conduct an objective and independent investigation of the organizations’ response to allegations against a former staff member and assessment of the organizations’ past and current policies, procedures, protocols, and training (please see the scope of the investigation on page 2 of this survey). GRACE has published this survey with the primary goal of gathering pertinent information for its investigation and assessment.

GRACE's team follows a multidisciplinary approach, bringing together experts with diverse backgrounds, including prosecution, law enforcement, and mental health. GRACE's investigators are committed to a trauma-informed approach and to fostering a secure and unbiased environment for witnesses to share their experiences.

GRACE's investigative team will be conducting interviews following this survey. At the end of your survey, please let us know if you would like to participate in an interview, or if you would prefer not to be contacted. You may also respond to this survey anonymously, if that is your preference.

GRACE's investigation results in a final report that includes a comprehensive assessment and analysis of findings, an evaluation of past and current policies, procedures, protocols, and training with recommendations for improvements, and a cultural analysis based on scripture and the six principles of trauma-informed practice established by SAMHSA (see 6 Guiding Principles to a Trauma Informed Approach).
