Please note that the PRK exam is held once a year. A virtual exam is now scheduled for May 25, 2024, from 11 AM- 1PM ET. Any cancellation must occur by May 10th, 2024. There are no deferrals. Any issues from the writer on the day of the exam will not be taken into account as part of the cancellation policy, which is outlined below.

Eligibility
Although the CPRS welcomes all participants who wish to write the Public Relations Knowledge (PRK)TM exam, the exam has been prepared for those who have completed some level of public relations or communications education. The PRK is designed to specifically test a participant’s knowledge in the field of public relations and communications. Prior to taking this exam, formal studies in public relations or communications are strongly recommended. Alternatively, a participant may have acquired direct work experience and undertaken self-directed studies in the area. Membership: The CPRS website (cprs.ca) has additional information and application forms for
membership in the Society.
Deferral Policy: Deferrals are not accepted for any reason. Your submission of this application confirms your awareness and agreement to this policy.
Payment: After review of this application is complete, you will be supplied with a payment link in which you can pay online through the membership portal. Payment must be received using Visa or Mastercard prior to writing the exam. Credit cards are not accepted over the phone.
Refund/Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation or failure to appear at the exam, the CPRS does not provide a refund to the participant. Cancellations will be accepted up to 10 days prior to the examination date. (Friday May 10th, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET) and a 50% refund of the total PRK Package price ($179 less 50%, tax and processing fee) will be issued. A request for cancellation must be requested through the CPRS National Office, Attention: PRK Exam, to certification@cprs.ca .
