On 19th May 2026 at the 79th World Health Assembly (WHA79), Health Parliament is convening a side event, 'Global Health System Redesign Lab: From Proliferation to Purposeful Progress of AI', with Global Health Leaders to have an honest, focused conversation on a critical question for global health – Artificial intelligence is now widely used across health systems, but are we truly improving outcomes, or simply adding more complexity? We will look at how far AI has spread, where it is helping, where it may be causing harm, and how we can make it more purposeful and outcome-driven.
The goal is to move beyond general discussions and identify what needs to change in real terms. During the WSIS+20 UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting Side Event in New York on 15th December 2025, we launched a two-year project – the Global Commission for 21st Century Healthcare.
