Application form: Resident Doctor Committee member

Thank you for your interest in joining the RCP Resident Doctor Committee (RCC).

Membership of the RDC offers resident doctors an opportunity to shape the future of physician education, training and policy at a national level. The committee provides a platform to represent the views, interests and needs of doctors at a pivotal stage in their careers, while contributing directly to the work and strategic direction of the RCP. It also offers a valuable opportunity to develop leadership, management and strategic skills, while helping to drive meaningful change across the profession.

Eligibility:
You will need to be an RCP subscribing member to apply. If you are not yet a member, please join the RCP before submitting your application. Applications received from non-subscribing members will not be considered. For any questions or issues with your membership, please email membershipqueries@rcp.ac.uk

Before you apply:
You will be required to provide three short statements about why you wish to be considered for the RDC. We recommend preparing your answers before proceeding. Please pay careful attention to the word count.
  1. Why would you like to join the RCP Resident Doctor Committee, and what do you hope to achieve during your term? (200 words)
  2. What do you think are the most important issues currently facing resident doctors in your region or training programme? (200 words)
  3. What strengths or experiences would you bring to the committee? (300 words)

Application closing date: 5pm, Friday 20 November
We anticipate a high level of interest in these vacancies. Once you have submitted your application, you will see a confirmation message on screen. This serves as confirmation of receipt.

All applications submitted by the deadline of Friday 20 November will be reviewed and scored anonymously.

We expect to notify applicants of the outcome of the recruitment process by mid-January.
