Introduction

Strengthening the Screening of Lung Cancer in Europe (SOLACE) is a project funded by the European Union (EU) under the EU4Health Framework and coordinated by European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR). This project aims to survey current practices, identify areas of uncertainty, and develop new clinical guidelines for lung cancer screening (LCS) in EU Member States. SOLACE will produce a comprehensive guideline and implementation package that will address all steps of the lung cancer screening pathway.

To identify current recommendations for lung cancer screening we have conducted a scoping review of existing guidelines and recommendations. A scoping review aims to find and summarize all relevant material on a specific topic. This comprehensive and systematic search provided a list of potential priorities for future guideline development.

The SOLACE consortium has now launched a call for feedback from professionals, patients, and other stakeholders to support the guideline panel in making a final decision on which potential priorities should be addressed. In the following survey, you will be asked to provide your ratings and comments on various statements or questions about lung cancer screening.

Your feedback will be analysed to help define the final list of healthcare questions to be addressed in the new guidelines.
