Volunteer Registration 2021

On Saturday, June 5, 2021, the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence will host its 18th Annual Race Away from Domestic Violence. The Race will start and finish at the West Plaza of City Market in downtown Indianapolis. Critical to our success is the help of our volunteers who help with registration, course direction, water stops, rest and recuperation area, and children's activities.

Volunteer requirements are as follows:
* Report time is no later than 7 am on Race morning.  Registration volunteers will be needed at 6:15am.
* Volunteer duties will end no later than 11 am.
* Dress code; volunteers who still have their ICADV Volunteer shirt are asked to wear that, along with khaki shorts or pants and comfortable shoes. If you do not have an ICADV Volunteer shirt, you will receive one at check in. Comfortable shoes are a MUST.
* All volunteers will be asked to participate in an orientation meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 @ 6:00pm ET.

If you have any questions about volunteering or the race, please contact Erika Young at eyoung@icadvinc.org. Once you've completed this registration page, you will see a confirmation message. Please look for additional communication by email over the following weeks.  You will receive your Zoom link for the participant meeting no later than Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

ICADV Code of Respectful Conduct:
ICADV’s mission is to work for the prevention and elimination of domestic violence - until the violence ends. This mission is informed by survivors of violence and mirrored by staff, volunteers, contractors, interns, and other invaluable stakeholders.

Before we create safe, stable and nurturing environments in the world around us, we must create them within our own spaces. With this in mind, we are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful space for all. We seek to promote our collective growth by holding one another in supported accountability.

ICADV has implemented a policy for employees, volunteers, consultants, or contractors that addresses allegations of workplace-related incidents of sexual misconduct, domestic violence, and dating violence; creates supports for victims; and will hold accountable people who cause harm. ICADV could prohibit people who cause harm from occupying positions that could undermine our ability to carry our mission. To request a copy of the this policy in its entirety please email icadv@icadvinc.org.

ICADV pursues a vision where all people engage in healthy relationships characterized by the mutual sharing of resources, responsibilities and affection; where youth are nurtured with those expectations; and where all people are supported within a society committed to equality in relationships and equity in opportunity as fundamental human rights.

ICADV will not tolerate exclusion from participation in, denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program on basis of actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity (as defined in paragraph 249(c)(4) of title 18, United States Code), sexual orientation, or disability.
