Community Engagement Survey
The Bloomfield Group is in the planning stage of constructing and operating a 5MW Solar Farm at Rix's Creek North (RCN). This is being referred to as the RCN Solar Farm (the Project).
Bloomfield is seeking a new DA approval via Singleton Council to construct and operate the RCN Solar Farm. The following provides some detail on the project:
· Located adjacent RCN mine on buffer land.
· Positioned to minimise visibility from neighbouring properties and public roads.
· No new offsite power line required.
· Owned and operated by the Bloomfield Group.
· Sized to offset daytime loads of RCN mine.
· Sized to offset daytime loads of RCN mine.
· Directly reduces approximately 5244 t CO2e scope 2 emissions annually.
· Produces approximately 8000 MWh of renewable energy annually.
· 5MW AC capacity.
· Behind the meter connection to RCN Main substation via a dedicated overhead line (OHL).
· Covers approximately 12.2Ha of land.

A Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE) is being prepared for the Project, which includes, amongst various specialist studies, community consultation.
This survey forms part of the community consultation, to obtain community input into the identification of potential social impacts and benefits related to the Project, which can be further investigated during the preparation of the SEE.
