Position Declaration

  1. Purpose
The purpose of the ARN scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to rehabilitation nurses working toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. 
Rehabilitation nurses who meet these criteria are eligible for the scholarship:
  1. Membership and involvement in ARN
  2. Current enrollment in a BSN degree program, in good standing, and successful completion of at least one course.
  3. Current practice in rehabilitation nursing.
  4. Minimum of two year's experience in rehabilitation nursing.
Members of the ARN Board of Directors and their staff are not eligible for the scholarships.

Application process
To be considered, application materials must be received by August 25, 2022. The following materials must be submitted:
  1. Completed application form.
  2. A transcript documenting enrollment in a BSN degree program.
  3. A summary of professional and educational goals and achievements, which includes the following areas:
          a. Involvement in ARN at the national and local levels.
          b. Continuing education participation in the past 3- 5 years.
          c. Professional publications or presentations.
          d. Community involvement, particularly related to advocating for individuals with disabilities.
          e. Efforts made to improve your rehabilitation nursing practice and the delivery of care in your work setting.
The recipient will be selected by ARN based on the application materials provided. All scholarship applicants will be notified in September. Payment will be made to the scholarship recipient before the end of the year.
