Introduction
Queen Maeve's will be a hospitality and community venue that will continue the proud legacy of the Irish Club of WA, offering members of the public the opportunity to enjoy dining, cultural celebrations, and entertainment in the heart of Subiaco. The venue will provide a welcoming space for the Irish community across Perth, as well as local residents, families, and businesses.
The Applicant, Irish Bar Subiaco Pty Ltd, is conducting a Consumer Survey to gauge the 'public interest' in a Tavern Restricted Licence for Queen Maeve's, to be located at 61 Townshend Road, Subiaco, WA 6008, the premises which housed the Irish Cluib of WA.
Manner of Trade
The proposed premises will continue to operate as a two-level hospitality and community venue, offering dining facilities, bar amenities, function spaces, and occasional entertainment, including acoustic music and cultural events. The venue will maintain its historic role as a community hub with an Irish cultural influence. The approval of the Tavern Restricted Licence will permit the Applicant to cater to the requirements of consumers in the locality.
Consumer Survey
The responses to this Consumer Survey will be submitted to the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety to assist the Director of Licensing in determining whether the application for Queen Maeve's is in the public interest or not.
Public interest is defined as “an interest in common to the public at large or a significant portion of the public, which may or may not involve the personal or proprietary rights of individual people.”
