Subcommittee Positions

The American Academy of Audiology’s governance structure aligns the work of the organization through its councils, committees, and subcommittees.

Volunteer opportunities for AAA Conference Subcommittees (under the AAA Program Committee) are posted annually for an involvement of one year, with the most active time in July–October for the Learning Labs and Grand Rounds Subcommittee, October for the Learning Modules and Mini Modules Subcommittee, October for the Research Podiums and Student Research Forum Subcommittee, November for the Research, Clinical, and Teaching Posters Subcommittee, and July–September for the Featured Sessions Subcommittee.

Serving as a volunteer on any one of the 2025 Program Committee subcommittees does not preclude you from submitting a session idea through our call for abstracts. These submissions undergo a blind review by your peers and will open in mid-late August. However, those volunteers that sit on the Featured Sessions or Learning Labs/Grand Rounds subcommittees will not be eligible to be a presenter at any one of these by-invitation-only sessions.

By applying, you acknowledge that you are committing to serve during these time periods described above, including attending regular calls and meetings, if appointed.
