Memorable 2026 Applications

New annual program. 2026 applications open: 16 February – 7 April 2026 (7 weeks)

Stories capture moments otherwise lost forever. But what makes a story Memorable? Whether you’re writing memoir, legacy, family history, or a business chronicle, you need to win readers over with your synopsis and a unique voice and perspective. Queensland Writers Centre's Memorable program could put you with a mentor who will help you make your work stand out and be remembered.

the first five pages from the proposed project (approx. 1,500-2,500 words) as per standard formatting:
  • 12pt Times New Roman or Arial font
  • Double line spacing
  • 1” or 3cm margins on an A4 page
  • Page numbered
  • Project title at top of first page, bolded and centred.
Submissions accepted in PDF format.
*Writing sample will be read if the application progresses to the second round of assessment. (See Process.)
