Wartburg Theological Seminary - The CaSTLE Project

Your synod is participating in a project that is exploring the understanding of our baptismal call to live out our Christian faith in daily life. This survey asks questions about your beliefs about your own calling, as well as your experiences with your congregation. Please be assured that all answers are anonymous and your responses will be kept strictly confidential. The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the research consultant: Rebecca Sims, PhD, at rsims@surveybydesign.com. Thank you for your time and participation!

The survey uses the terms “vocation” and “calling.” Vocation is what we receive in baptism. In baptism we receive an identity and purpose in Jesus Christ that is the basis of our vocation. Calling is what God does in us in our relationships to others. God calls us to respond with care for our neighbor, to creation, and to circumstances in life.
