Vaccination survey for north east London GP practices and Pharmacies

London reports some of the lowest flu and Covid-19 vaccine rates in England with north east London having the lowest vaccination uptake across the capital.

As a system, we understand some of the challenges, our very diverse population in NEL, cultural and religious beliefs, mistrust, time and convenience to get vaccinated, motivation, misinformation etc. are some of the contributing factors for low uptake in flu and covid vaccinations.

We are seeing a declining interest in repeat vaccinations following the intensive pandemic campaigns and know that there are specific pockets of higher and low uptake across our boroughs.

As a system we continue to work hard and try to encourage our residents to have their vaccinations, GP practices are offering additional clinics at weekends and in the evenings, pharmacies continue to deliver flu vaccinations, plus we are hosting additional outreach events across NEL to engage with underserved populations and communities. Although it has been a challenging year for our health system, we shouldn’t overlook the great work that has been taking place across the region and we thank everyone that has been involved in this.

We are inviting you to reflect on your own practice in this anonymous survey, it should take you around 5mins to complete and will be used as part of our After Action Review insight gathering.

This survey will be open until 27 March 2026.
