National Council of Women 2025 National Council of Women Australia - Gender Equality Priorities Survey

Thank you for participating in the 2025 National Council of Women Australia - Gender Equality Priorities Survey

Introduction

NCWA is committed to representing the voices of the thousands of women across our ~150+ organisations and broader membership. We are now embarking on the most comprehensive member survey ever undertaken by the organisation to understand what matters to you – our members. The results will be released in Q3 2025 and will go towards informing the next phase of our collective advocacy.

Thank you for participating in this survey. Your feedback will help NCWA understand which issues are most important to our members and inform our advocacy and policy priorities.

This survey is anonymous and will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

About Us

National Council of Women of Australia (NCWA) is a national non-government umbrella organisation with broadly humanitarian and educational objectives, which seeks to raise the awareness of women and girls to their rights and responsibilities as citizens and to encourage the participation of women in all aspects of community life. NCWA works with, and across all sectors, to identify and bring about change to ensure that there is equity and security for all in Australia. For over 125 years National Council members have been making a difference in Australia. NCW New South Wales was started in 1896. With our roots in the anti-slavery movement, it wasn’t just about ‘getting the vote’ for women, it is about achieving equity and security across all endeavours that encompass life in Australia.

The National Council of Women Australia exists because of our members and for our members.

Why a Survey?

The Board of the National Council of Women Australia want to know what matters to you. In order to shape our work, honour our members’ commitment to the organisation and gender equality, we are asking all members across Australia to share your priorities with us. And, we are also asking interested members of our affiliated organisations to provide your responses too.

The National Council of Women exists to provide a bond of union between women’s organisations and a means of coordinated expression on topics and issues related to women. As an organisation run entirely by volunteers across Australia, the answers you provide will help us to focus on the issues that are important to you.

We also hope that with themes established from the survey, we may establish core NCWA positions across a range of issues.
