Parking Strategy Consultation

Rutland County Council is inviting residents, businesses and visitors to give feedback its updated Parking Strategy for 2026–2028.

The Strategy has four priorities:
  • Making sure parking services are financially sustainable
  • Supporting access to local services and keeping traffic moving efficiently
  • Improving safety for everyone using Rutland’s roads, whatever their mode of travel
  • Preparing for future changes in transport and technology
It also sets out clear policies across a range of areas, including:
  • Town centres
  • Enforcement
  • Residential parking
  • Villages and visitor hotspots
  • Schools
  • Blue Badge parking
  • Parking infrastructure
The survey runs from Monday 27 April to 22 May 2026.
