VSBA Products of Public Education

VSBA is accepting submissions to be considered for the 2026 VSBA Products of Public Education publication. This publication will be distributed later this year and will celebrate the incredible individuals who have emerged from Virginia’s public schools and made a lasting impact in their communities, across the Commonwealth, and even nationwide.

Note: up to 12 submissions may be selected for the publication but all submissions will be compiled on the VSBA website.

We invite you to share the inspiring stories of your school division’s graduates and students – individuals who exemplify the power and success of public education. These stories could include:
  • Current Students: Individuals who are making waves locally, statewide, or nationally through community service, innovative projects, or organizations that contribute to their school or community.
  • Alumni: Graduates of public schools who have achieved notable success in their careers or made significant contributions at the local, state, or national level.
Examples of alumni could include: founders, astronauts, scientists, judges, professional/Olympic athletes, researchers, musicians, actors, etc.

We welcome short videos or brief written stories accompanied by photos to highlight these exceptional individuals. This publication will serve as a testament to the extraordinary impact of public education in Virginia.

Submission Details:
  • Deadline: Friday, June 5, 2026
  • Submission format: Short videos or written stories with photos.

  • School divisions may submit up to two submissions. Submissions will need to be sent in through separate forms.
