Want to create a Fringe Festival show? We want to help!
Pathways to the Fringe is a new workshop series that aims to help folks build the tools they need to enter a production in the lottery draw for the 2026 Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival.
This free series will consist of 10 sessions, letting adult participants investigate different skills for creating and producing a show at the Winnipeg Fringe. Workshops will include explorations of playwriting, collaborative creation, design, working with technicians, grant writing, and more - and of course, seeing shows at the 2026 Fringe! There are 10 spots available.
Sessions will take place one weekend day a month from January - November 2026 between 1:00-4:00 pm; exact start time, topics and speakers TBC.
Participants are expected to make every effort to attend all sessions. (Dates are subject to change, with advance notice, but this is our plan):
Saturday January 10
Saturday February 21
Saturday March 21
Saturday April 25
Saturday May 23
Saturday June 20

The 2027 Winnipeg Fringe company entry deadline will be in November with lottery draw in early December.
This application should not take long, but there are some answers that require several sentences/paragraphs; you may wish to write these in a word processing document first and paste them into the text boxes.
The application deadline is December 15th, 2025. Applicants can expect a response by December 24th.
