At least one key staff person or volunteer at all VF Network Partner agencies are required to take, at minimum, the appropriate food safety training course for their agency type. Food shelves/pantries are required at minimum to complete the ServSafe Food Handler for Food Banking or equivalent training. Meal sites are required at minimum to complete the ServSafe Food Handler or equivalent training.
Please note: Key agency staff or volunteers that already hold certifications in these minimum, or more advanced, food safety courses must submit their current, valid certificate to VF with their partnership application to satisfy this requirement.
