Downtown Paola Planning - Community Survey 2026Multistudio is gathering community input as part of the Downtown Paola Planning project. Our goal is to ensure that voices from residents, business & property owners, community groups and downtown leaders are all represented in what will become the master plan for Downtown Paola.
GOALS FOR THE DOWNTOWN PLAN
- Boost Downtown Paola’s legacy as the social and economic heart of the city and larger region.
- Strengthen the heritage-rich downtown as an economically viable alternative to the modern activity along Baptiste Drive.
- Provide guidance for reinvestment, development patterns, parking strategies and transportation opportunities that stimulates valuable private investment
- Integrate the history and patterns of the downtown with the efficiencies of contemporary development—ensuring Downtown remains a resilient, walkable destination that honors the community foundations while accommodating the housing, goods and services, and professional needs of a growing 21st-century population.
What this planning process is not:A document reaffirming the way things are done today without question. We want to ask the important questions that help us identify potential areas for improvement wherever they may be in current policies, procedures, or physical patterns of downtown.
