Pasture Trial Network (PTN)

What is the Pasture Trial Network?
The Pasture Trials Network (PTN) provides independent data on the performance of grazing forages.

The PTN oversees a network of rigorously scrutinised trial sites across WA, SA, VIC, NSW, QLD and TAS. The trial data is made available via the MLA PTN eTool to help red meat producers and agronomists with informed feedbase decision-making.

What is the MLA PTN eTool?
The MLA PTN eTool communicates localised, cultivar-specific, seasonal performance data. It is a reliable resource for producers, agronomists and consultants to make informed forage sowing decisions they can be confident in.

The MLA PTN eTool is updated twice a year with recently completed trials in green and includes data from completed trials within temperate Australia. Data is revised and updated with new varieties as they emerge on the market.

The MLA PTN eTool has been updated this year with new features, making it easier to find trials similar to your operating environment, search for cultivars and other sets of data.
